The Cliff House Inn sits directly on the ocean between Santa Barbara and Ventura, with 24 rooms and Shoals Restaurant on site. Autumn is a good time to come and do very little: walk the shoreline in the morning, watch for pelicans on the rocks, and stay out on the patio while the lanterns come on.
